The Bang & Olufsen A8 Earphones are a great iPod accessory. The first you thing you notice is that they are stylish and trendy. They will fit right in with the Wall Streets crowd, the impossibly thin models, the Silicon Valley tech wizards, street punks, athletes, anybody really. The sound quality is outstanding, you get better clarity on the bass and treble than you would with standard ear phones. Not only this the fit is excelllent. You can be running, biking, climbing or any active sport without fear that they will fall off even in the most strenuous conditions. I take mine everywhere I go and switch it between my iPod Shuffle and Nano products.
Well, who is the buyer of this product? You appreciate style and design, You buy few things, but the things you do buy are high quality and durable. Not only that you would rather spend $160 on the earphones rather than the $8000 to go all the way and get the full Bang & Olufsen home stereo system.
Some people will ask, why should anyone spend $160 for a pair of headphones? Well, some people will ask the same question of anything expensive that they feel they can get the same experience with much less money. Why should I spend a $100,000 on a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S? Its just a car, its gets you from point A to point B. The speed limits are 55 or whatever so you don’t get to enjoy it. Well, its the sound of the throaty sport exhaust, the music of the engine when it wails past 6500 RPM, the adrenalin rush when you floor the accelerator, the fit and finish of a precision German high performance vehicle, the glorious crest on your hood. The passion that people feel for their Porsches, Harley Davidson bikes, Boston Whaler boats and other lifetime hobbies will never be understood by others.
