Tagged Under : , Notebooks, USB, Wireless

Recently three laptops in the LaVie J series namely the LJ750/LH, the LJ700/LH and the LJ730/LG were introduced by NEC. While the notebooks are build with Intel’s low-voltage processors, nearly all of them feature the same configuration.
They feature Intel’s GM965 Express chipset with built-in video capabilities, a DVD burner, and a 12.1-inch wide-screen display that can work at a maximum resolution of 1,280×800. These notebooks also offer a wide range of network connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Wireless USB, Bluetooth 2.0, Type2 PC card slot, SD card slot, USB 2.0 ×2, Gigabit Ethernet and voice input/output. Some noticeable difference is in the form of memory and hard drive capacity. The LJ750/LH offers 6.7 hours of continuous battery operation which is quite a good feature.
The LJ750/LH is the most expensive of the lot featuring a 160GB hard drive, 2GB RAM which can be extended upto 3 GB, and a pre-loaded Vista Ultimate.
The LJ730/LG is medium priced model featuring a 80GB HDD and 1GB memory. It is followed by the LJ700/LH which has the same configuration as LJ730/LH minus the Microsoft Office 2007.
