Acer has unveiled new, revamped models in both the Aspire and the Ferrari lines. The Aspire models sport a reworked Gemstone styling. The 7720G will have Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo at 2.2 GHz, up to 4 GB of main memory, 200 GB HDD, a 17 inch screen at 1440×900 resolution, ATI Radeon HD2300 graphics card with up to 1 GB of HyperMemory, dual layer DVD burner and a TV tuner. 7720G will retail at $2,988.
The smaller sibling Aspire 2920 is with Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo, 250 GB HDD, 12.1 inch screen with 1289×800 resolution driven by the unfortunate Intel GMA X310 graphics card. Both 7720 and 2920 will run Windows Vista.
The final new release is the Ferrari 1100 with AMD Turion processor at 2,3 GHz, ATI Radeon X1250 with up to 960 MB HyperMemory. 12.1 inch screen with LED backlighting and a resolution of 1280×800. The Ferrari 1100 too comes with a revamped new look, but we kind of detest pointless Italian car badges on their surface, however the old horse is set to make a splash. We like the new body though and all will be forgiven this once. Full launch information and price details are not available yet.
