Most of the new buyers might be a bit confused on choosing between the best suitable version of the XBox 360. Currently there are three versions of the XBox 360; Core, Premium and the Elite. Well let’s start with the Elite version

The Elite Version:

XBox 360 Elite Version

The Elite version is equipped with a premium black finish and three powerful core processors capable of producing the best in HD entertainment up to 1080p. It’s not just the console that’s in black but all its accessories as well as its components, well… its box as well. The Elite version comes with a 120GB detachable hard disk. This hard if brought separately will cost you $180. Well regarding other things there seem to be same components as that of Xbox360 premium version; Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 headset, Xbox 360 HDMI Cable, Xbox LIVE Silver Membership and One-month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold. The Elite is currently priced at $479.

XBox 360 Core Version

The Core Version:

The Core version is just a simple basic console which comes packed with a Console, Wired Controller with 9ft break-away cable, Standard AV cable, Xbox Live Silver membership, 1 month limited trial membership for XBox Live Goldin a green box.It includes all the basic things required to game. But you won’t get a Live headset, remote control or a Wireless controller, that seems to be a little bad. This version of Xbox360 is currently priced at 299$.

The Premium Version:

XBox 360 Premium Version

The premium version is complete pack of a good gaming life. It comes in a white box. You get all the great goodies which are essential for Xbox live. With a premium version you get a Console, Detachable 20GB hard drive, Wireless Controller, Xbox-Live Headset, Component HD-AV cable, Xbox Live Silver membership, One month limited trial membership for Xbox Live Gold, Ethernet cable and a Media Remote Control.

The wireless controller seems to be a real good plus point as you can play from a pretty far distance.

It has a range of up to 30 feet and a battery life of 30 hours on two AA batteries. You are also given an external hard drive which seems to be great deal as you can store lot of stuff in it and if you would have purchased the external hard disk separately then it will cost you $100. Currently the new Premium versions come with built in HDMI port. And it’s also said that they come with 65nm chips onboard, not confirmed though. The Premium version is currently priced at 399$ which seems to be a sweet deal for all the great goodies.
