Windows Seven

Analysts said Microsoft probably is keeping tight-lipped about what Windows 7 will look like because at this point, company engineers and executives don’t even know.

“They don’t want to commit because they don’t have a good idea what’s in it,” said Michael Silver, an analyst with Gartner. “We’re three years out, so you can’t really expect that much detail.”

The Software’s name is Vital Desktop. Download it from Here (File size 187 KB) and install it.

After Installing there will be an added menu in the Right Click context menu on desktop. Enable it from there.

First i-Pod VirusKaspersky Lab has discovered the first virus designed to infect iPod. It has been named Podloso. It is a concept program that doesn’t pose real threat. Podloso only works if Linux has been installed on the iPod. The virus has to be manually loaded on the iPod by the user and it can’t be launched automatically without user involvement.Once Podloso is launched it scans the hard disk and infects all executable .elf format files. And when any of these files is launched a message is displayed which says “You are infected with Oslo the first iPodLinux Virus”.

Podloso is a proof concept virus, which demonstrates that it is possible to infect a specific platform. It does not have a malicious paylod and can’t spread on its own.

So now in the near Future we’ll see iPod Anti-Virus Wars !! @-)

nVidia Logo

Last Year nVidia released there not so successful chipset 590 series for Intel Core 2 Duo Series of Lineup. The chipset was a very poor overclocker but had many new features and one of them was nVidia’s Linkboost technology. In this technology if the motherboard finds 2 7900GTX, then the frequency of both graphic interfaces is automatically set from default 100 MHz to 125 MHz, and simultaneously the frequency of system bus HT between chipset bridges increases from 200 to 250 MHz. This solution ensures a increase in the capacity by 25% (theoretically) and it can give a certain performance gain.

Bad Bunny

Oh what a sweet, sweet day it must be for Microsoft. The first worm specifically targeting the open-source office package OpenOffice has emerged.

It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux computers, but anti-malware vendor Sophos admits it poses a low threat, especially as it’s only a proof-of-concept that hasn’t actually been discovered ‘in the wild’.

Windows Vista's ReadyBoost

Today I am writing about Microsoft’s Windows Vista’s ReadyBoost technology and is it worth all the hype.

But first an insight into what actually ReadyBoost is.

From Wikipedia:

ReadyBoost is a disk caching technology first included with Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system. It aims to make computers running Windows Vista more responsive by using flash memory on a USB 2.0 drive, SD card, CompactFlash, or other form of flash memory, in order to boost system performance.
